Dave Jenner – Owner
Born and raised in a farming community in central Ohio, Dave relocated to Lake County, Illinois, in 1995. For almost 30 years, Dave created and managed a wonderful career as a senior executive in the outdoor sporting goods industries. A passionate dog owner, Dave recently elected to leave the corporate world and use his years of experience in business and customer service, combined with his passion for dogs, to launch Kamp K-9.
Nofo Lilo – Director Operations
Nofo has been working professionally with canines of all shapes and sizes for over 15 years. At a very young age, Nofo threw himself into his studies and graduated at the top of his class from the Military K9 Handlers Course. From there, he served on 3 deployments and after only 2.5 years, he was hand selected to attend Kennel Masters Course- a course where typically students must have at least 7 years of experience before attending. Nofo graduated with top honors from this course and gained valuable experience in training other canine trainers. When he returned home, Nofo continued to train dog trainers in the ATF, local police departments, Department of Homeland Security, Danish Canine Special Forces, Italian Carabinieri, and many others. Lastly, one of Nofo’s favorite dog training opportunities was working for the Minnesota Twins as a Security Canine Specialist.
Nofo currently resides in Schaumburg and has been the Director of Operations for Kamp K-9 since its opening in 2021. Nofo specializes in puppy development, territorial behaviors, rehabilitating abused dogs, obedience, and more. He is well versed in a variety of different dog training methods including balanced, clicker, marker, and clear signals training. Nofo’s years of experience in different training environments has left him with the confidence and expertise to effectively train any dog to any goal.
Krista Mayer – Trainer
Krista Mayer – Trainer
Krista began her journey as a Professional Trainer in October of 2023 under the apprenticeship of Master Dog Trainer Nofo Lilo and Professional Dog Trainer Bill Balatsos. She has devoted herself to Canine Education and has completed over 550 hours of Canine Lectures spanning over multiple subjects such as canine psychological trauma, nutrition, DNA memory across dog breeds, social interactions and introductions, pack mentality and familial dynamics, and so much more. She has trained over 70 different dog breeds, from Cane Corsos and German Shepherds to Lagotto Romagnolos and Pomeranians, completing a staggering 1,000+ hours of hands-on training in a very short period of time. With the incredible combination of academic and hands-on experience,Krista shines as an invaluable member of Kamp K-9’s Training Team. Krista looks forward to helping other dog owners strengthen their bond with their K9 companions.
Dagmara Blumenfeld – Kennel Manager
Dagmara Blumenfeld – Kennel Manager
Dagmara Blumenfeld has been with Kamp K-9 since January 2022. Her profound love for dogs drives her commitment to exceptional care and safety as our Kennel Manager. Her approach is characterized by a meticulous focus on the well-being of both dogs and staff, ensuring a harmonious and secure environment in the kennel.
Prioritizing the safety of the group and the well-being of her employees, she believes that a cleaner environment is not only healthier but essential for effective management. Her core priorities are supervision, recognition, and proactivity.
In addition to her hands-on care, Dagmara effectively oversees staffing and administrative functions. Her skills in these areas ensure that kennel operations run smoothly, supporting both the daily needs of the facility and the long-term goals of the organization. Her proactive approach and keen attention to detail make her a pivotal leader in providing top-notch care and maintaining a positive, well-organized kennel environment.
Gina Helmick – Groomer
Gina Helmick comes to Kamp K-9 with 5 years experience as a groomer and 6 ½ years experience in kennel management. Not only is Gina is extraordinarily passionate about dogs and her profession, but she is very interactive with her client base and works hard to gain the information necessary to ensure her services are completely aligned with the clients’ expectations.

Erin has been professionally grooming dogs for the last 7 years! With a steady hand and an abundance of experience, Erin has perfected her craft as a dog groomer. Having styled countless dog breeds of all shapes, sizes and hair types, she will be able to accurately assess the issues that come with grooming maintenance and achieve the look that satisfies the owner’s needs. From snout to paws, Erin has your pup covered.
